Verda Elementary

I am Jasmine Howard, and I currently teach 5th grade ELA and social studies here at Verda Elementary. I am a long time member of the Verda community and one of the many reasons that I love VES is that I attended this school as a child. I went on to graduate from Montgomery High School and then from the University of Louisiana at Monroe with a bachelor's degree in General Studies. I completed my teaching certification in Elementary Education at Louisiana College. I also recently completed my graduate studies at LC earning my master's degree in Educational Leadership.

 

I absolutely love teaching at VES, because I feel like it gives me an opportunity to make a difference in my community. Working with students each day and seeing their success makes teaching such a rewarding career. When I'm not in the classroom, I like to spend time with my family and my fur babies. I also enjoy spending time outdoors, crafting,  and taking naps!

 

I am so blessed to work at VES and I am eager to complete another year at our wonderful school! GO YELLOW JACKETS!
