Reading Intervention - Mrs. Williams
Hi guys!
I’m Vanessa Williams, a graduate of Northwestern State University, and I can’t believe I’m beginning my thirty first year! I will be teaching third grade (the best grade ever). Verda Elementary has been my second home for 22 years, and I consider myself blessed to work here. I have taught grades 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th, and even ventured out and taught P.E., but this year I will be the reading interventionist for Kindergarten through 3rd grades. I have taught 30 years.
My husband, Brian Williams, is the head football coach and athletic director at Montgomery High School. My son, Taylor Williams, a former Yellow Jacket, is the P.E. teacher here at VES and is the assistant football coach and head boys’ basketball coach at MHS. My daughter, Morgan Settle, also a former Yellow Jacket, is currently working on her Master’s Degree in school counseling and working on her internship at MHS.
We, as a family, love sports and working in the Grant Parish school system. Even though this upcoming school year will be a lot different than my past years, I’m still just as excited to meet my new third grade babies. If we all work together, this year can still be wonderful!
